Rick Schrade
Owner and Founder
Rick is an experienced insurance professional backed by 30 years of experience in the industry. You can feel comfortable knowing Rick will find you the best policy for to cover all your assets.
Rick is actively involved in the local community through organizations such as the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce as well as local ALS charities. He has an enthusiasm for the outdoors, he enjoys skiing at Gore and Whiteface, boating on Lake George, as well as hiking the Adirondack 46ers.
Will Schrade
Chief Operating Officer
The ultimate visionary, Will has been involved in everything imaginable. From managing a business on the ski-slopes of Colorado, to being the Deputy Harbormaster of one of the busiest boat harbors in the Northeast. Opening the agency with his father Rick in 2014 would be his biggest adventure yet. Under his guidance the agency grew to be one of the fastest growing captive agencies in the country. Will currently oversees all growth initiatives for the agency.
In Will’s own words: “To the thousands of customers that have trusted us so far, thank you. To those perspective customers who are thinking about making a change, we want to earn your business. Ask us questions, feel comfortable knowing you are going with a business you can trust.”
Outside of work, Will enjoys all things outdoors. When he is alone, it means tearing up any ski slope. When he is with his wife and three kids, things slow down a bit on the family’s boat.
Tyler VanderBogart
General Manager & Chief Administrative Officer
The longest tenured employee of Wilcar Insurance, Tyler has overseen day-to-day operations at the agency since January 2021. Prior to running the agency, Tyler spent 8 years as a top performing sales agent at our agency and another. As a former collegiate athlete, he is a strong believer in teamwork and positivity. He works diligently to stay up to speed on everything, so our customers and agents are always well informed. As most customers and staff would attest, if you have a question that needs an answer you find Tyler!
In Tyler’s own words: “It is kind of cliché, but I just enjoy being present with people. Insurance has a car sales stigma attached to it sometimes. We don’t do business like that here at Wilcar. I preach strength through humility to our staff daily. There are no egos at our agency, we learn from each other every day.”
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys his Sports Card business, golfing, and cheering on his Los Angeles Rams and New York Yankees. You can find him all over the Northeast on any given weekend, but if there is one place you can find him during the week it is at home relaxing with his wife and playing Play-Doh with his daughter Charlie.
Tiffany Pierce
Service Manager
Tiffany has been a crucial part of our customer service team since joining the agency in 2021. Tiffany uniquely has worked in Claims, Service, and Sales over the course of her lengthy insurance career. Her no quit attitude is a testament to her time spent serving our nation in the Army. Her ability to go above and beyond for every customer makes her a beloved staff member at our agency. She thrives at being a calming presence in the most difficult of situations.
In Tiffany’s own words: “In a world where you can be anything, just be kind. Often people are calling us on one of the worse days of their lives. Being able to be kind, and attentive to the need of the customer is a basic responsibility. One that I take very seriously.”
Outside of work, Tiffany loves endurance sports. Find her hiking trails, running endless miles on a backroad, or participating in marathons in her free time.
Dan Bodell
Sales Agent
With 10 years spent in various roles in the insurance industry, Dan is a consummate professional in all things insurance. Dealing primarily with auto and home insurance, he has a deep understanding of what policyholders need to stay protected against the unexpected.
In Dan’s own words: “I enjoy what I do because there is rarely a dull moment and I’m continually learning new things even at this stage of my career.”
Outside of work, Dan is an avid sports fan especially when it comes to the NBA and NFL. If you don’t see him out on a hiking trail with his dog, you are likely to catch him on the couch watching movies with his wife.
Sloan Seymour
Sales Agent
Sloan has been an integral part of our sales team since joining the agency in 2022. A former D1 Basketball player, Sloan treats everything with a professional approach. He takes immense pride in providing outstanding customer service and troubleshooting any potential concerns a customer could have.
In Sloan’s own words: “Insurance can be an intimidating thing for consumers, and I take great pride in educating people to make sure they are making informed decisions about their policies.”
Outside of work, Sloan lives and breathes basketball. You might see him lighting up a scoreboard at a local gym near you, or the dancefloor at your favorite spot in Saratoga on any given Saturday.
Emily Francomano
Service Agent
Joining our agency as an intern initially, Emily has been apart of our agency for two years. She is typically the first smiling face you see when you walk in the door! She specializes in handling existing customers of the business and directing new customers to Sales Agents. Her ability to diagnose a customers need is imperative to our operation and customer satisfaction.
In Emily’s own words: “Every client has unique needs, and I have a passion for figuring out exactly how we can meet those needs!”
Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, knitting, and writing. She finds inspiration in stories and creative projects. These hobbies allow her to unwind and stay inspired in both her personal and professional life.
Meghan O’Connell
Service Agent
The newest member of the Wilcar team, Meghan comes to the agency with extensive experience in the car industry. Upon completion of state licensing, she will be joining our sales team. She is an enthusiastic professional who looks forward to providing exceptional customer service.
In Meghan’s own words: “I look forward to growing within an industry that allows me to make a meaningful impact for customers!”
Outside of work, Meghan enjoys hiking with her dog, traveling with friends, and cooking.
